Exploring for Copper in the eastern extension of the Mid-Continent Rift 80 km north of Sault Ste. Marie
Copper Road Resources is a Canadian company exploring for copper-dominant polymetallic deposits at its 24,000-hectare project near Batchewana Bay, Ontario. The Project is located within the eastern extension of the Mid-Continent Rift within the Proterozoic Keweenawan Group, approximately 85 km north of Sault St. Marie, Ontario.
The property package hosted two past-producing copper mines – the Tribag Mine and the Coppercorp Mine. The Project has several confirmed zones of mineralization, with each zone containing multiple under-explored mineralized breccia pipes.
Recent drilling intersected significant intervals of near-surface mineralization that proved continuity, depth, and additional mineralization outside of historical assay models.
The 1,250-metre 2023 drill program completed in the JR Zone established the presence of lengthy near-surface intersections of porphyry-hosted Copper/Molybdenum mineralization with shorter intersections of higher-grade Copper/Gold breccia-hosted mineralization at the Jogran Porphyry and Richards Breccia targets.
Additional drill testing of coincident geochemical and geophysical anomalies is coming soon, as well as a large (3 x 4 kilometre), semi-3D, deep-penetrating IP survey over the main JR area to further advance the targets.
